Joe Jackson is from Mobile, Alabama. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Alabama with a major in Criminal Justice and minor in Communication. While at USA he was a member of both the President’s List and Dean’s List, and received a scholarship for Academic Excellence in Criminal Justice.
Joe attended Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama and obtained a Juris Doctor while participating on the Trial Advocacy Board, winning both moot court and trial competitions. He is also a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy. Before entering solo practice, Joe worked with locally and nationally renowned litigator Bill Baxley in Birmingham, Alabama, for more than eight years, specializing in trial work focused towards personal injury, medical malpractice and general litigation practice.
Today, with over a decade of litigation experience, Joe represents both individuals and businesses, for both the plaintiff and defense, in a variety of legal matters. Joe’s areas of practice include: personal injury, fraud, bad faith insurance, slip & fall, medical malpractice, worker’s compensation, business litigation, employment litigation, consumer protection, general liability, and insurance coverage disputes. He has successfully tried both jury and nonjury trials to a conclusion, securing multimillion dollar trial verdicts and settlements throughout his career.
Joe’s experience also includes appellate advocacy, having successfully briefed and argued cases before the Alabama Supreme Court and 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Joe is licensed to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Alabama. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Birmingham Bar Association
